god-or-mammon

We live in a world today where people are taught they should worship money.  We have seen people who make lots of money and are never satisfied and want some more.  We have been around people who refuse God for money.  Others procrastinate to give a share of their money to people in need or even give the 10% that belong to the Lord, Almighty.  If you are identified with any of these statements then you are possessed by the demonic spirit of mammon.

Click and listen to the audio message from the leading pastor of the Gateway Church, Robert Morris. If you want a blessed life, he will teach you how to break the spirit of mammon or money in your life.

Here are the verses that he pointed out during the speech.

Luke 16:9…”And I say to you , make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail they may receive you into an everlasting home”…

Verse 10…”He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much”…

Verse 11…”Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteousness mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?”…

Verse 12…”And if you have not been faithful in what is another’s man, who will give you what is your own?”…

Verse 13…”No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve God and mammon.

And this is the New World Translation to help you better understand

9 I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

13 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

God bless you and I hope you can make use of this lesson to help you break the spirit of mammon in your life.
