Have you ever take deep thoughts of the world? If you have, well you may have realized that the world we live in is full of poverty, diseases, hate, political chaos, death, garbage, war etc. Why do you think if a God exist and claim to love us all, He would let all these sufferings happening into our world? This is what this article is intended to answer, we will discuss why God has allowed suffering.
Base on what we have seen so far in our world, we are certain that God has allowed sufferings but the question that we all should be asking is, is it God that make us suffering? To answer this question we would have to go back in the beginning of time when God created the heaven and earth as well as animals and mankind then the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made (Genesis 3:1) and and the serpent had said to the woman “You will not certainly die, for God knows that when you eat from the fruit your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God,knowing good and evil” (Genesis. 3:4,5). Yes mankind was deceived by Satan, disobeyed God and this is one of the reasons at this moment our world is in the midst of chaos.
Since that moment of deception, it seems that Satan has challenged God to see which of the two mankind would serve and which of the two is a better leader for our world. God is allowing Satan to rule the world. Yep God is not in charged but Satan is, this is what the Holy scripture said about Satan’s influence in the world; “the great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him” (Revelation 12:9); “we know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one” 1 John 5:19.
Next time you think about the sufferings of the world, as mentioned above our world is under Satan’s influence and God will surely put an end to that very soon. “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming”( 2 Thessalonians 2:8). Do not lose hope and put your faith into God and also obey Him.
